Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The distractions never end

I can't remember the last time I was able to just sit down and do my job without thinking about performance rankings or future opportunities or whatever new process they've invented this month. Leadership seems obsessed with things that don't matter, and the constant distraction means nothing important ever gets done. It's counterproductive and it's ki-ling the little morale we've got left.

I have no problems sleeping on the clock. Don’t let it get to you.

That’s how you know there are too many LEVEL 2.5, 3, and above. Invented departments and initiatives, metrics and undue scrutiny. They have nothing else to do and have to justify their own jobs.

And here you are during core working hours wasting time on an external Internet site. You would be distracted no matter what the work d clviroent is like.

@a3 When your boss is telling you how to update your resume, I don't know how the writing on the wall can be any clearer.

Yep. Just got off another call about utilizing Co-Pilot and building this in my resume. I don’t know where some of my team members get the time to do this. At the end of the day, what have you done for me lately is all that matters. I feel like these distractions are going to bite some employees in the rear.
