Long story short he/she asked if I have thought about looking for another job outside TR, just in case.

I had a one in one where manager told me I’m lucky to live in a hot job market city.
They are just saying that anything can happen
@a9 depends. Maybe she is trying to save the company severance before a layoff. Or maybe it’s a heads up they will put you on PIP if you don’t leave. Either way I don’t think that’s friendly.

Friendly manager. This is a huge red flag/alarm bell. For sure start sending your resume out now.
