Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I gave up on this place

If I'm still at Chevron in 12 months, someone needs to check my pulse. I honestly thought I'd retire here but this place stopped being part of my long-term plans when it all went to he-l about a year ago. Staying would mean I failed myself. Time to move on to better things.

CVX is a career wasteland for bottom feeders. Since the last layoff round, if you compare someone who worked hard to progress their career vs someone who did nothing, they're both currently in the same risk of job security. Sad state of affairs.

We have been McKinsey'ed. Look at the companies they've "transformed". Shells of their former selves. Sad.

Speak for yourself only. Most of us don't have the luxury of doing nothing and still getting paid for doing nothing.

I checked out 6 months ago. What great is so did my entire LT…so as long as I do some basics, no one bothers me

If the PSG is downgraded for a role you get you receive protection from it. You still however have to deal with the whole CO % thing.

Are you actively applying for jobs, is it better elsewhere? It’s going to su-k if you take a pay cut and you’re dealing with the same cr-p for less pay.
