Oh yeah, Argentina is totally on the rebound—just like a guy who swears he’s really changed this time after 55 years of red flags. But hey, let’s roll with it! And imagine how much more expensive everything will be when they finally make it (?) to first-world status. Are we gonna bring the jobs back then, or will we just act shocked that three-for-the-price-of-one stopped being a deal? I think they call that self-imposed tariff.
Really bad take. Argentina is move out of a continuous state of hyperinflation that has existed for over 55 years. You can try to lie like the media is attempting to do here, but things are definitely on the rebound there.
"Transformation" after "transformation" the only thing constant is the upper levels of management... That's the only constant and Chevron still continues to have "problems"....just sayin'
@ag+1jnkmjsej, Calling Argentina a third-world country is pointless—they haven’t even figured that out yet. They’re still out flexing like it’s the Paris of South America, meanwhile the economy is doing the tango… straight into inflation.
We’re about to find out that Argentinians run on pure bravado and overconfidence, and this whole experiment will start crumbling the moment we ask them to actually do more. Seriously, how did we convince ourselves that it makes sense to replace one U.S. employee with three in Argentina? Oh right, because it’s cheaper—but good luck telling the proud Argentinians that. They’ll probably insist it takes three of them just to match one American’s greatness.

The structure that's been shared across all these townhalls are ridiculous! The boxes are for GMs, VPs, Directors, Leadership type roles... None for the actual teams! This means, low level psgs are sc--wed! Work being offshored is a writing in the wall... how sad! Really sad!
same org chart we have in SCM today....took them 8 months of prep to come up with this.
Now we know where the layoffs will be. Certainly not at the top. That 15-20% will be bumped up to come from the bottom levels. And nothing will change with the LT they put in place.
Someone has to manage the layoffs..
