Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Language and time barriers

I’ve been working closely with procurement in BA - I have to say they’re great. That said, there are clear issues with language and time zones. Im curious to what extent this was considered. There is built in inefficiency

They don’t care at all. They see people as interchangeable. And they are pulling every lever they can pull.

I believe Hess’ only non-op is Guyana. According to their website they Operate 3 assets in the GOM, 1 in Malaysia and the Bakken region. Not looking good for those at Chevron that are cry babies

Hess has a relatively small workforce because they have a ton of nonop assets. Much of that workforce can be offshored.

The Hess workforce will replace all at CVX who are unhappy. CVX will be great again once this happens!

@a9 not if all the BUs were properly staffed with American employees like they should be

The same could be said if African or South American BUs being forced to work with Houston staff. The inconvenience cuts both ways.
