Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Legality of this RTO compliance change

Is it legal to suddenly change this RTO performance policy metrics and make people noncompliant? Previously, under 11 day RTO attendance, I was at 100% compliance. However, now that they changed their metrics calculation method, I am noncompliant. By them retroactively changing my compliant reports to noncompliant reports from Nov 2025 to March 2026, wouldn’t that be considered data manipulation by the company, which is illegal? They also failed to disclose IP usage to monitor which is also illegal.

It's all legal. They can fire you for any reason (that's not protected) or no reason at all. They will typically come up with a reason, like not meeting this BS goal that keeps changing, but that's only to strengthen their case if they get sued, they don't actually need that.

@df nobody actually knows the answer and nobody will answer it until it gets retreoactively applied later this year such that everyone is out of compliance. Trust nobody.

Is there still an Ethics hotline? Maybe complain there.

I have logged in office 4 hours and got credit, so it’s not 6 hours

@cy 6 hours isn’t it. I have in-office credit for days I was in less than 6 hours

You need to always read into the language they use, they are snakes. Since January the language has read 3 PLUS days in-office. They will win any lawsuit. Based on my very exact records I think you need 6 or 6 1/2 hours to get credit for being in the office. A day isn’t 4 hours, that’s a half day. Everyone wants to think 4 is enough but it isn’t. The 4 comes in if you log 4 or more hours in Workday the day is taken out of the equation.

Have you been reprimanded for not meeting the standard that past several months? Thought it was a tool toner moving forward at least what was told in my group. Wonder how many hours you need to be logged in at a HUB to be considered there. Oh wait they will probably roll out how many hours and minutes you were logged in a HUB later this year.

@a8 she wants Americans on a caste system, too.

@c2 our EU parnters have also been told to work from home by the European Union due to the oil crisis. Our d-mb bi--h CEO tells us more time in the office, knowing how high gas prices are, with no raises this year. She's tone deaf and her caste system attitude needs squashed.

Yes, it’s legal to change the formula for calculating in-office time. Thanks to our cr-p workers’ protection and lack of privacy laws, they absolutely can track your IP connectivity and internet usage. Read that disclosure notice when you boot up your computer. And then think about how our EU coworkers are not being tracked.

The allocation of resources towards an obsolete metric, which is erroneously termed "Talent and Performance," is an ineffective practice, as it is not employed by any Fortune 500 company. This metric, reminiscent of antiquated industrial production measures, has lost its relevance in contemporary times.

GUNJAN KEDIAs new strategy to Bankrupt and dissolve U.S.Bank by mentally torturing its employees is working VERY effectively.

I sincerely doubt it would hold up to any legal scrutiny if Jan-Apr were actually cited as a reason for termination of an employee, they simply don't want to admit April data is worthless and have everyone not bother going to the office for the rest of the month.

They don’t care about being unethical because they aren’t even American. They are operating outside of USA rules. Hiring from outside this is what you get. Just look at India, they get treated like cr-p and work for peanuts. Sweatshop vibes.

I agree with your assessment OP. In the TTUS survey which just closed today, I used most of the space in the question about what the bank can do better to address this. I called out the MC for unethical behavior in my comments and in all questions related to ethics. In the question about whether I feel I can safely report ethics violations without fear of retaliation I voted "strongly disagree". I hope I DO get questioned by a senior leader on my responses. That will prove the survey is not even confidential (it's already not anonymous).
