Future for R2B?

Any insights as to what the future holds for R2B? Only a couple months into my tenure (Sr Mgr) and very concerned.

What a lot of you don’t understand is the R2B sales reps pay for themselves with their ecode. They don’t need the store to function. If anything they transition SMB B2B titles.

@ab do you have any info on what they would change about the comp structure? I'd love for the position to stay provided that the pay is still close to what it is right now

There was a Regional meeting last week to go over the new 2026 comp structure. All of you saying r2b is getting axed have no clue of what’s going on lol. If anything b2b & r2b will get consolidated in the coming years in to a single channel with some sort of retail partnership. The current smb space is a bloodbath between tmobile/att & verizon. Do you really think they’ll just cut the entire channel?? If anything they’ll put more focus on it the coming years. The new chat lead system is broken, a lot of reports of issues and reps who cant even open a single account. Stores cant sale on their own even if their lives depended on it. There will be cuts everywhere and no channel is safe but stop with the fake rumors on r2b being cut lol. Soo many fake rumors here

R2b is NOT being eliminated. Maybe some tweaks with retail stores closing but the channel is now axed. Stop being so cruel

I helped form R2b as one of the original leaders in the org in the mid 2010's. Unsolicited advice, use this experience to get into a proper b2b role ASAP. Telecom/software whatever just use that experience to move foward. Trust me your income and lifestyle will thank you 5 years from now.

@OP I’m in R2B as well. Your directors haven’t said anything to you yet? Do you have any up coming meetings this week regarding everything that’s been going on?

Same boat all I have been hearing is R2B is going to get axed to zero if not nearly zero. Not feeling too good at the moment. Super scared and sad, but life goes on.

God bless everyone! He has a plan for all of us this might be our path to something way better than we ever imagine just gotta keep the faith!

@OP Hard to say. There will be some cuts to every sector. Obviously with close to 200 stores converting to indirect, that’s gonna eliminate some roles. I’m sure there will be some sort of realignment. Not really sure what criteria they’re gonna use to say who stays and who goes. I’m in R2B as well and worried. You have an 85 percent chance to stay. Best of luck.
