@a8 Staging layoffs: An employer could potentially avoid the 60-day notice obligation by staging layoffs in smaller groups over time to stay below the thresholds that trigger the WARN notice requirement.

So far all the large scale rumors for cuts have been just more smaller cuts that have been ongoing. I could see there being some cuts related to non compliance with Security policies among others or Pulte trying to fire more people who may have decided to push back against illegal or unethical demands to serve his personal interests..

@OP well anything that happens will not be large in numbers because of WARN requirements so this is a good bit of hyperbole.
