So much for not doing layoffs the rest of the year! It is NOT over folks. Wishing everyone well during this process. Hope everyone can make it out and find a better set up.

There is no recent warn notice for Winston Salem. The only warn notice was issued in June which has been published for months.

The firm needs to sell the brokerage to JP Morgan

That's really too bad for Portland.

Won't miss the people in the other, forgettable places.

if you look at the warm notice log for Iowa you'll see 2 dates for each entry, the notice date and the layoff date. the layoff dates of if the dates in the post title. 11/28, 1/2, etc. the notice dates are 60 days before those dates and are when folks here were notified and sent home.

@b9 you’re wrong, the date of the Warn posting is the day we got put on our 60 day non-working period, aka being fired. Severance begins 60 days later. Ask me how I know.

100% WFA being sold has been talked about. Unlikely it happens given what’s been said in public by Charlie and others. But it has been talked about this year and last.

You'd think people would be more savvy given this has been going on for 5 years. These are the dates the 60-day notice period ends and they begin severance. These layoffs already happened.

WFA is not getting sold. No need to make up stories.

@am not to mention the partnerships with CB, CIB and mortgage. Plus deposits and lending in general.

This selling WFA to JPM talk is crazy. WFA and WF Premier is a big part of Charlie’s overall strategy.

subtract 60 days from each and you get the Tuesday the people were out on 60 days notice. these already happened, nothing to see here.

The sale to JP is definitely in the cards from what my boss’s boss told us. Talks have picked up 2nd half of this year, so it could happen relatively soon.

Anyone know which group(s) at the Portland Tower were effected by the 10/28 WARN notice?

I would not be surprised to see Wells Fargo sell its brokerage business to JP Morgan, just as I expect T. Rowe Price to be sold to private equity or a larger firm. Target is also in trouble, and so investors should prepare for its eventual dissolution. Smart employees and competitors will notice and prepare.
