Bold statement, considering Costco doubled-down on DEI and their margins have rose more than 12% this year. Other companies, like Target, Best Buy, Tractor Supply, etc. who ditched their DEI campaigns have seen massive declines in their financial performance.
Not defending Hans' terrible leadership, but DEI, woke, socialism, etc. are all conservative boogyman words to keep people distracted; it's not the reason Verizon has been failing.
Going all-in on 5GMM and failing to realize that customers scrolling Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc. are getting the same experience at 20 mb/s download with TMO as they are with 100 mb/s with Verizon (and paying way more) is why we're failing.
Outsourcing our customer service to vendors, who say anything to get a sale, transfer a customer 10 times to avoid a disconnect or credit, etc. put today's stock price above tomorrow's brand reputation. A decade ago, Verizon had the best customer service, now we're no better than Comcast.
Caring only about the shareholders and not about employees / customer's is why Verizon is failing. Gone are the days of team-building events, catered meals, meaningful recognition, great phone plan benefits, etc. Turns out, employees won't give you their all if Verizon treats them as an unfortunate cost.
