This survey is 100% not anonymous. It is confidential. Confidential, except to users who have access to the responses and to who responses are shared with. And participation is tracked. It is 100% individual choice to participate and how you choose to answer questions. But know that how you respond is not anonymous.

@1et I'm not going to bother to participate. -@1es
Don’t put anything in a survey that your manager doesn’t already know. Lots of fragile egos out there!
It's not anonymous. It doesn't say anywhere that it's anonymous. It says confidential which is something completely different.
You can say whatever you want in the survey. Just be ready for consequences if you take things too far. Be constructive.
@1bz This can be done very easily, everyone gets their own link. I'm sure there are ways for them to figure it out, especially if someone says something illegal. But I really doubt they are putting everyones name next to their comments.
I just answer the middle selection for each question. That way my manager doesn’t get a positive mark, but also gets to pat himself on the back and say his people are “engaged” because they all took the survey.
If it was anonymous how could they calculate participation percentage by manager/director/org?
@19k how much do we need to have F U money? Asking for a friend.
I will not fill it out even though I like my manager. Yes he will get dinged, but as a leader, he needs to manage up. I will not be an enabler.
Also with RTO, I am not compliant. I have FU money. Yes, my manager is getting dinged, but as above, I will not enable bad policies due to fear and dysfunction.
Nothing is anonymous and I doubt its confidentiality. I went straight neutral for nearly all my comments. They won't do anything anyway since they only care about actual engagement. The substance of the comments and the answers given mean nothing. They just want to brag about completion rates.
Just tell the truth, be professional and don't get into details. Even if they link it back to you, who cares? I'm brutally honest in my comments and I'm not afraid to have my name associated with them.
@ee that and the MC is wilfully ignorant. They look at all the engagement as something good. People don't take surveys like this when they're happy. They take surveys like this because they are PI---D and have nowhere else for it to go. But the MC is so delulu that they see the high engagement and pat themselves on the back for a job well done.
I have the same thoughts. Do I like to do it and give them their way to help with the engagement numbers? Not really. But I do like my manager as a person as well and it’s not fair that it falls on them vs falling on the out of touch managing committee who I would venture to guess most people have a pretty negative view of.
It’s illegal for them to retaliate against you for not completing the survey in CA
I overheard someone on a TTUS committee say they were sent an email with a spreadsheet of comments in I've column and the email addresses associated with those comments in the next. I don't take them anymore.
I'll be honest that the only reason I take it is because I won't want my immediate manager to catch he-l for not having participation. They're a good person and they don't deserve that nonsense.
It’s confidential not anonymous. I’ve had interesting conversations with my leaders immediately following a rather negative set of answers. They never come out to say hey based on your response how do you feel about x y and z. But they do pay attention
@a8 They track managers employee participation. You get scolded by not having 100% team participation. The usual bit, communication not effective to your team, ask your team why they did not participate, blah blah blah
Been going through this for years.
What are you guys afraid of massive layoffs and intolerable work environment? Unfair treatment discrimination based on your age or race or anything else that’s inconvenient for them? Blast them on the survey. Be specific name names you’re already paying the price. grow a pair.
The emails specifically say not to share your individual link. That should tell you all you need to know.
If you work for a small group it will be very easy for them to figure out who you are
The fact that they openly admit that they know which group the responses come from is enough for me to know it's not anonymous. They used to make a big deal out of the TTUS years ago, but now, they just look at the % that respond and claim that participation in the TTUS shows good morale within the bank. No matter what you say, no matter any feedback leadership gets, it'll just get ignored. It's a waste of time to even bother with the TTUS.
Really what is the point of the survey anyway. They don't need a survey to tell them things they already know.
If they cared they would fix the things they broke such as RTO.
My manager has always stated watch wording as they can pin point some people out by the way they word answers.
I’ve noticed managers pressuring people to participate in the survey. Is this so they look good, or are there consequences if you don’t?
@a5 hardly consider this place a “firm”. It’s a sweatshop. and no, not really.
There’s no anonymity with the survey. HR and Executive levels can see individual survey results and comments.
I'm curious, given your experience at the firm, what would make you think anything you do is anonymous? Have you ever met anyone in senior management?
If you leave comments vague, I don't think they can determine.
It’s confidential but not anonymous. Be careful bc they will find you if they wanted to.
