LM Albany is going away. Heard RNs were getting laid off this month. Heard all their patients will be covered by Buffalo and Central market. This came from HSM
@bw , yes quite true-surprisingly have not heard of physicians being let go but there are a few have decided to leave.
OT and OI merging ?
@xk care navigators/sr. clinical administrative coordinators for sure
@1f2 how can you tell if it has ended?
Just check your schedule and see if workforce has altered it. Your schedule may end on 10/16 and it may end on 10/30.
@a2 Are they waiting for the Cloud migrations to be completed?
@xh Highly doubt any cuts around chart review especially with all the media and DoJ focus now.
@yd I think I think the October 16 and 30th layoffs are already in the books that earnings report might before layoffs later
The 3rd quarter earnings call is on the 28th. There is always layoffs after those calls.
I heard 16th and 30th does anyone know what departments ?
Has anyone heard of any layoffs in Housecalls? Weird new ranking/grade/percentile on chart reviews from a different department. The timing just seems odd....like, we already have a quality review person reviewing charts.
@qe arenlayiffs only done on Thursdays?
@a8 I hope not! 10/30 is my birthday and layoffs would not be a great present!
@OP
Optum Tech will be RIF'ing on Oct 30th. It's fairly widespread and, after hearing from my contacts, it's going to pretty large.
Based on how things have been going, I think we can count on layoffs every month. Seems to be the pattern.
Obvious, lots of consolidation, merging, exit from business lines and reorg happening at top as we speak, changes are inevitable.
@a8 Optum too .. merging clinics so people will lose their positions.
@ac No idea. Senior leaders keep saying “Something big is happening, but I can’t tell you what!” Super helpful
@a8 any idea what departments?
Keep hearing 10/30, specifically for WellMed
Haven’t heard anything lately in Optum tech
