Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Does Cigna typically gut legacy departments in acquisitions? I am experiencing major mixed signals and unsure if my team is getting fired with the restructure or not.

There are golden handcuffs due to sign on and retention bonuses. Not sure if we’re getting fired or laid off.

I was part of an acquisition 12 years ago by Cigna and survived long enough that they sold us off to someone else, so not always.

Are you suggesting that all the chaos going on with departments combining that have been absolute cr-p rollouts is actually a recipe for disaster- intentionally?

It’s been so shockingly bad, I can actually see that being true.

It’s hard to say. I worked with folks from company’s Cigna purchased. I dunno how many others were let go. I’d say you’re probably fine if you are a high performer.
