Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Please stop trying to make us fill out this stupid survey!

You know morale is at an all time low. You already know what’s bothering us. Do not bother with employee appreciate week either. Just leave those who are left alone to do the work that you are paying us to do. We are exhausted. The end.

Can someone reply to this? Please give examples of the survey's questions. Are the questions focused towards management or the "team" or both?

Untrue.

Plenty of people can handle minor child/adult care while still working a full day. Moreso if one tacks on additional time at the end of the day.

Don't you take breaks, grab coffee, chit-chat in-office? And I'm pretty sure you don't work later to make up for those.

Ahem — working from home is not meant to alleviate the need for childcare or adult care or otherwise. You are part of the reason for rescinding.

@a8+1jt1pxt0p is exactly right, the enterprise leadership bonuses are tied to % completion. Which is why most orgs will send multiple emails to those that haven't finished it yet. They don't care about your opinions but need to be able to show their teams are engaged. I've stopped filling it out and last year had to get an email from HR to say it wasn't mandatory before my management would leave me alone. Won't be doing it this time either.

$40Bn in stock buybacks announced and still laying off US based teammates, FHY and CS, can't wait to get my payout.

I never take the surveys because your opinions, thoughts or feelings DO NOT MATTER!! People express the same opinions, ideas for the betterment of the company and the well-being of employees, for years, and they basically pi-s on before they toss it into the trash. Secondly, they use the information to pilfer ideas that they will use to their advantage and profit. Every single decision they make, is how they can profit, and as ridiculous as it sounds, the survey is no exception. And, don't think for a moment they can't figure out who takes them and what you say, and it will be used against you. Make a hollow threat and see how quickly they see you to the door.

Global Employee Survey is just a way for management to punish you for criticizing them, and making solving your own complaints a performance issue for you. There is no reason to take it. Showing disengagement is a far better comment than pretending like your input matters.

Just don’t fill it out — I’ve never done it. I’ve sat on several global employee survey work streams, and the outcome of all of them did nothing at all. It’s all just a dog and pony show to make you think they are doing something.

The survey is about WF stating their % of employee engagement. And that is the reason they push u to respond. They don’t give 2 cents about your responses.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Yeah, the survey is stupid. For years, all we wanted was to be able to work remote as a lot of us have kids, adults, parents we have to take care of. And since WF is stingy with their raises, ok, we will meet in the middle. Let us work from home so we don’t have to pay for child/adult care and can save gas/wear and tear not having to drive in the office every day. And for years, they dangled the carrot in front of us, oh maybe one next year, but the answer was never a hard no. Then COVID happens. A lot of us proved we are just as productive or even more productive working from home. But the guys at the top of the WF pyramid doesn’t like that and is flexing on all of us to remind us of our place as expendable peons. Ok, first time, shame on you, second time shame on me. I’m grateful to have a job, but after taking a queue from the millennials, that generation has really had time to think about what is important to them and being a cubicle slave no longer holds the prestige it once did. I’m going to continue doing my job and will continue doing so until I’m laid off or until they keep putting more and more unreasonable expectations on us until I say it’s no longer worth it and just move on to another job. I really loved working at WF, but lately after taking to some of my peers who were laid off, they say it’s like a weight lifted off their back and has been a blessing in disguise. Long story short, I’m not going to fill out the survey as it lets the man gauge just how much we can take before calling it quits and moving on. They don’t deserve the privilege of knowing any longer until they stop taking and give a little once in a while.
