Im sorry i dont mean literally but i have to question whats happening there because not many people i work with have a damn clue how to do their job and have no freakin work ethic what so ever. And its getting worse with each new recruit brought on board. That location has always been known as an issue so very shocking when it was announced a growth location but something has got to give. There are way too many of you that are just a red flag so what gives seriously

The thing with all those Pune and Bangalore hires is that they are all in bred cousins. They will only promote their kin. So sad what BNY has become. The age of AI, additional Indians.
BNY wasn’t smart enough to NOT do business with Russian monsters.
Meanwhile, the teams in Delaware wonder how we are still existing……
@g6 dont be mad at Ny because PAnis filled with mo--ns long before the UK na-i took over
Eff right off. BNY, and the NY state of mind that has lingered since the takeover, has been pure poison and has affected the entire company.
@ex 100% agree! The current BNY hiring practices and workplace demographics are stunningly obvious at LM and Pittsburgh ... and probably all other state-side location! Remarkably, no one is Senior Leadership or HR say anything about it!
I once did campus recruiting for BNY in Central Florida. There only focus is/was on recruiting undergraduate students into two primary roles: Operations and Data Science. Significantly better qualified and experienced graduate-level students with extensive backgrounds and experience working in Finance, Fintech, Computer Science and Computer Engineering fields were completely disregarded from hiring consideration. Why? Well, my theory is that either graduate student hires don't qualify for BNY tax credits or they don't fit the desired HR new hire cost profile.
@bx Lake Mary is the same way and has already claimed the title for the most H1B’s. Lake Mary also claims the title for the most undergraduate hires from UCF and other state schools so they can receive eligible tax credits. The former GEICO Gecko people leader is totally complicit in carrying out these practices.
@ay i dont know what new recruits you think are quick learners but keep drinking the kool aid out there. The only thing you all know how to do is demand pay you don't deserve and find any reason to not show up for work. Thats about it because answering a basic question is out of the question and results in you needing a sick day for stress because god for bid you knew your job
@bp
LOL Little Pune… it is!
I still like calling it Turdburgh.
Now more than ever
Pittsburgh has a new nickname: Little Pune. In the last 1-3 years, a ton of Indian people hired…a lot. Instead of outsourcing (and they are doing that, too): insourcing/ take over. It is very, very noticeable. No joke: pre-CoviD, I never saw one Indian person. They are everywhere now.
@b0 as the OP I can assure you Im not RV. And do you really think he would waste time this site. Be for real
Getting rid of Mellon from the name is a metaphore here. They replaced the experienced Mellon heads with skinny jean wearing , blue haired woke army of analysts. Ive seen so many hired for diversity letgo bc they didnt show up or litterally did nothing when they did.
The irony of your question even though you state "not literally" is probably literally that as PGH water has had a history of unsafe levels of lead and other contaminants. That in turn affects learning development and cognitive ability thus leading to the "not having a clue" that you refer to 😂
@OP The real Pittsburgh workforce, that actually worked, retired or were let go. They were hard workers with a work ethic. The new recruits they are bringing in want promotions, 5 wks of vacation to start and huge salaries with no work ethic or experience. They will never out work the employees who came before them and will never stay or be dedicated to the company.
If I didn’t know any better, I would swear the OP and many responders in this thread are Robin V himself. This is exactly what Robin thinks about Pittsburgh. It’s as if someone stole clips of him talking about the burger heads there. Except for one thing, PA is not a ‘growth center’
@OP the new recruits seem to be quick learners. Seems like they’ve figured that doing the bare minimum at BNY based on the current environment makes more sense than going above and beyond. Seems they are smarter than thou. But go ahead, continue putting that square peg in that round hole.
Here’s a thought @op. You get what you pay for . Simple as that.
@ac you sound like another PA mo--n because not a damn thing you rambled about made any sense. Let me break my question down as the OP. Why tf are you all re--rded coming out of that location? Make sense now????????
@a7 OP here so you couldnt look past that sh-t and thought you were making a jab or something. Proves the point of how fking stupid that location is .
Oh my Gawd! People aren't working hard enough for BNY? After all they've done for us? Do thet realize that doing this may limit some executive compensation?
The horror 😱
I hope that more and more people join the ranks of actively disengaged employees. There's plenty of room on the bandwagon and we have cake!
Finn how OP is saying PA employees have no clue while not knowing how to use the apostrophe or capitalize I.
