Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Join me in seed ball making.

Just received an email from Virtual Development Network BRG - we can all join a virtual event to make wildflower seed ba--s.

While I am all about supporting Mother Earth, thinking about the amount of money USB is wasting with these types of events all while nickel and diming us on RTO and time at screen.

Make all of these extras make sense when you are degrading remote peoples pay grades, laying off American jobs to send them overseas, and all the countless ways they are showing their appreciation.

It wouldn’t surprise me if suddenly all of these useless USB encouraged workshops and training events are going to have record attendance like never seen before…… if that’s how they want to play, I’ll play.

I’m attending this workshop! Got my kit last week. I’m actually really excited for this and to have a break, no matter how small, for the sweatshop that my job at USB has become.

Seems like an issue if we can't take the positive activities for what they are since there is so many negatives around comp/RTO/management. I have my gripes too, and they match the gripes of many people, but can't we just enjoy a positive activity separated out from all the bad stuff?

Disclaimer - Not my activity, I didn't even know about it until seeing this post. But as someone who tries my best to engage with my co-workers in activity planning that we can get the bank to sign off on, and seeing that there are some people who will use these efforts to complain about things we (the planners) cannot change, it's a little disheartening to read this post. Someone is working to try and brighten the day. No one should be forced to participate, but why sh-t all over the attempt?

@a7 oh, you can go get your hands dirty in office for this one too. There is not one, but 2 opportunities to play with mud in a few diff hubs. Look it up on viva engage. I’m sure if you searched wildflower seed ba--s it will come up lol

I'm tired of all these damn virtual events. The pandemic is over and we're being forced in office. Plan some damn in office events where we can actually collaborate with others.

@a3 It's not 60+%, it's >60%. Just the latest way they lied to us.

Right, we need to celebrate Earth month by forcing a new mandate of 60+ percent of days to office during an oil crisis.
