OP here. Honestly, I don’t trust my manager. She has failed me enough times in the last 5 years. In a perfect world, I would love to chat with them about it and get aligned.

I broke a bone in my driving arm and she expected me to come into the office and withheld filing for medical leave. Then I had to elevate to HR and State of Oregon.

@OP
You should seriously consider talking to your manager about this. That’s what they’re there for. Don’t listen to any of the hate here. There are all sorts of accommodations that can be made during a hardship.

March of 2022 gas prices averaged at $5.10 when corrected for inflation.

The national average currently is ~$3.60.

What are you talking about?

Ask a boomer what life was like during the odd/even day gas rationing in the 70’s. Vehicles, with all those cylinders and Holley four-barrel carburetors, were less fuel efficient.

So many people randomly still "working" remotely is a huge part of Nike's current problems.

@ag With a 20yo car, and avg 14mpg ciy/hwy and a 15 gallon tank. It requires about a tank of gas a week (4 days). So about 70 or more a week. if I drive my pickup it gets 9 mpg and has a 25g tank.

Realistically though, what kind of monthly increase (in dollars) are people dealing with as a result of gas prices going up recently?

You will have to work until 70 years old. You will retire with failing health. You will only live another 4 years.
