How much Optum tech is layoff proof?

this is op. so it is crazy to join at this time for all positions?
Wait for how much redundancy is removed when OT and OI are combined under Candyman. OT is often assigned OI projects, that work will go to SD's buddies at Wipro or Infosys. No reason to "outsource" OI work to OT - either you're directly employed to a revenue driver, or you're out. Any G-level "digital" stuff tied to SD can be combined with OI product work or shunted to UHC.
McKinsey (with Analysts paid SG31-32 level) is buzzing away itemizing everything in the enterprise to advise what parts to cut. Be prepared for like 50% from teams across Optum as we consolidate duplicity and exit less profitable or slower projects/products.
There have already been layoffs within OT, with more expected in the October timeframe. Leadership hasn’t announced or communicated a hiring freeze, but it’s clear that additions are only happening if deemed critical. Try to get that in writing—though they won’t. The reality is this company is not only toxic but also shady, shifting US roles offshore and even changing the names of the work effort to make it less obvious. Where are the whistle blowers?!
@a7 thats not actually true about 0 percent im aware of a vp or two that got it
If you're offshore, you're layoff proof, because the reality is, we were already laid off and replaced by indians
Zero percent.
I wonder how many orgs/teams actually generate revenue with their application.
