Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Paul Duggan should be the next CEO

Paul is a smart, honest leader. He also cares about employees. It’s time the LOVE model gets implemented internationally.

@am Sandy Ono is a clown. The way in which she screeches at company events is unprofessional. Marketing is non existent. I am sure she is polishing up her resume.

@OP definitely not unless they want history to repeat it self. No back bone, no idea, has a team of useless leaders himself, and can’t even manage that bit.
They need a strong external leader!

I think Paul has the weakest set of skills out of ELT, it’s cute that he’s trying though I guess.

Vonage could acquire OpenText and become a communication leader. And Sandy Ono can go work for Disney making cartoons.

@ah None. Only Duggan was with Murphy, the rest have nothing to do with him.

Wonder how many ELT will follow Murphy to Epicor?

Paul is not Jenkins / Sadler / Fowlie guy. He was brought into the business by Murphy. McGourlay was there for a long time, he's known quantity.

Paul is a horrible leader. His PS org is a mess. His business unit isn’t profitable. He hasn’t had one original thought during his time at Opentext

He can't think for himself. He kissed MarkB a-- just like the rest of them.

The board is definitely going with an external hire. They had a short list of 3 and currently in negotiations with 2. Expect new CEO to be named in 8 -12 weeks. Very risky to not have the CEO in place.

New CEO will be replacing many of the ELT and C Suite. Some will "resign" before the CEO is announced. All of this is already underway.

Mark was given the option to resign. He refused. Thus, he was fired.
