Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Stepping Down

What’s with NH and other high level execs stepping down? And why is the company saddled with MN or EB as next CEO? Talk about failing fast.

The people who dug the hole and put the company there will not take it out of there. There is a need to go external and hire at the leadership level.

Failing fast (bcg TM): Yo, look busy! Don’t let ‘em think we don’t have a coherent plan.

NH leaving was the ELT way of pretending to hold execs accountable for bad decisions like TCO. MN also likely realized he needed a more important job for people to take him seriously. Notice anyone good at anything or with a heart leaving now. EB unfortunately is not the female leader this company needs - she’s too chaotic and insecure. MW would love to appoint the first female CEO but at this point all options make or female are awful. We are in trouble if we stick around.

This elt is made up of rookies. They are making bad strategic decisions and as a result company is underperforming. They are turning to something that can generate quick outcomes, which is to layoff people.

MW is in place with his term extension solely make his pot of gold and oversee the winding up of what was, not too many years ago , a great and admired company

@a9, don’t think it’s that complex. Prob just a troll that likes to mess with people by purposefully violating LO content rules and massively downvoting valid opinions.

Clearly MN doesn’t have any golfing buddies who are dentists.

So chevron staff puts inappropriate comments such as the last one from @a7+1jgvmkk8c. There was about corporate cougar on the first post, then there was something about a body part on the second post. And now.there is one about pe--s. This way they call up the site admins to remove the post ASAP. Lol

MN is going to be the next CEO because he looks like he walked right out of central casting as an oil company CEO.

EB won’t be because she doesn’t and also lacks a pe--s.

Mw and MN are best buddies. Apparently, they told the elt members and a few board members that chevron messed around with opg and leading performance too long with no results, while competitors made real changes. As a result, NH was let go.
MN loves EB , because she is d-mb as f..k. MN is hoping to become the next ceo even though his age doesn't allow it. He is hoping for an exception, the same way mw got it. This is the reason why the elt is full of id--ts, because MN advises mw with staffing decisions.
When mw decided to stay another term, it was the last straw for pb. Jg was supposed to be the cfo but he is jg (another staffing mistake). So they had no choice but to turn to eb.
Eb is really bad and she surrounds herself with gossipy, dramatic people. As a result her office is in perpetual crisis and that's how she operates. Plus , she is not very smart and afraid of public speaking. So MN thinks he can be the next ceo, because the board is seeing ebs incompetence.
Good luck guys. I don't think this company will survive this disastrous elt.
