@a6 There will definitely be a reduction, just noting that it will be more targeted than the "shave 10% off everywhere" reductions we saw last years. They will probably just rationalize out vanity tech which in turn will save us a lot of money on DE/PE/Sr. Dir types. 500 or less impacted.

The cuts are going to be in teams that are building things that don't help "win now", i.e. the bottom line. They are going to cut all these little vanity tech builds and massively scale back on enterprise platforms that could be replaced with COTS. And of course, the elephant in the room is nike.com teams. How much money is getting funneled into an atrocious online site that could be done with a team of 3 people using open source ecomm platforms

Wtf.
Why don't they get done and over with it. The constant waiting game has my nerves frayed and finding it very hard to focus on work, plan large expenses... Basically life is on hold. This is torture. Just do it... Ever heard of that?!

First week in May is when this will take place and it will be a very large cut. Tech got a large performance target an the only way to hit it is headcount cuts and shifts offshore. Good luck everyone.

Architecture was cut very deep last year. I don't think there are many left. I also doubt if they would do deep cuts for PEs. Most likely VPs, Sr Dirs & Dirs.

No headcount reduction feels a little to rosy … I definitely think there is going to be cuts in the GT senior leadership… and most likely PE/Architecture

I heard no layoff or headcount reduction target, rather specific functions are being cut due to lack of alignment.

Everyone just going to keep guessing every week and eventually someone will be right. Truth is nobody knows and those who do know are not going to lose their job telling others or posting it here.

Not worth speculating and doesn’t help anyone as nobody can control what happens or influence it. Just enjoy life. Too short to be worried about a moving date and rumor mill.
