Mine was almost as good as last year. The whole thing is unfairly rigged though. Managers can’t give based on each individual performance like some think. They have to either pan the whole team at 3 or create a pecking order that has a moving goalpost.
I have peers doing work I used to get a 4 for but they are 3s. Why? Because I can still do the work I used to get a 4 for plus a lot more. So I’m still one of the 4s which means someone else isn’t.
@va You must have a cr-ppy boss. Also former Cigna and we fully participated in the merit/bonus process this year. Cigna folks are eligible for the bonus, but it is prorated since we officially joined HCSC in March of 2025.
Even though my percentage was over 100%, I was told I didn’t get more because of “budgeting reasons”. I did get a smaller bonus. Raise was still the same increase of a dollar smh
@v6 it’s based on management level. Directors have a 25% API target.
@v8 Meanwhile...nothing on the calendar yet for any discussion. We are part of the group that came over from Cigna. I'm thinking we should still be entitled to a portion of our API. I can reach out to my boss but I don't expect a response.

Depending on your level of management and at least working more than 5 years. Your bonus and raise are good. If you have worked less or are at the professional- mid professional level, your bonuses and raises aren’t that great. Don’t let them lie to you.
I got 145% but the bonus and raise was not good enough. These small raises are terrible.
Those 100+% stats are not the salary percent. They’re not 100% of a salary thus doubling it. Thise percents are the allocation of what their role’s bonus should be. Example: say your role has a 15% bonus structure, so you would get 15% of your salary if 100% of the bonus was earned. If the bonus measurement comes out to 133% earned that’s means your bonus would be 20% of your salary (133% of 15% is 20%)
@mp the difference is based on management level. An hourly employee could receive one rate and a leader or higher level mgmt level employee could receive something different
Please keep in mind HCSC employees have the 50/50 split, a Luminare or Dearborn employee would just receive one company performance for all employees. Hcsc is different by division

Everyone has been commenting on being over 100% of target for API but where are these targets coming from? I’ve had 6% of salary being my target but heard of colleagues in other departments getting 10% and even 15% of salary as their target api, which is a massive difference…

Let's make sure we all understand...the merit budget is 3.5%. So that is what the average needs to be. So if someone gets a high merit someone needs to receive a lower merit to average out.
API differs by each division, meaning everyone received the same % for the corporate weight but the divisions results can make things range all over. So one division could receive 125% of target and a different one might get 130%.
If something looks wrong or down for you. That's a discussion with your manager that needs to be had
@a6 it was 3.5% this year...but not all will get the same. it ranges from 0 to 5.00%.
Numbers were good. Proof that 90% of the active posters on this site are trolling and are probably on performance improvement plans.

Great bonus compared to the Healthcare market. I guess HCSC is not a bad place after all.

I got a great raise and big ol’ bonus. Not bragging. Just grateful my efforts were recognized by my supervisor.
Bonuses were 115%to 130% in my department That is very good considering the state of the labor market. Yes, not as good as last year and annual raises are always 2% to 4%. Still good for a company that made bad decisions and lost a lot of money last year. Buckle up for 2026 to 2027...it could be a wild ride.
I got 150% and was promoted to a VP. Seems fair.

I agree the merit increases were not great but our bonus was good compared to last year and considering what was expected. I have talked to people who got above target for bonus and I did as well. I’m actually happy but also scared because little increase is a sign of less payout for layoffs. Also, to announce the reorganization today.
They have been insanely small for years. It's been 3% merit increases across the team for at least 5 years. (Or that's what they tell us) I believe the popular term now is called Peanut Butter Raises....
It's always been like that here, unless you are fortunate enough to have a manager that fights for you and gives you extra or an off-cycle raise/promotion. (Nonexistent these days, especially with all the layoffs and fear they are spreading)
Nothing like a $1- $1.20/hour raise during record inflation, while the top makes millions in bonuses off the work you do!
