I-9 recertification

Did anyone else receive an email to recertify their I-9?

In my entire time at the company I’ve never been asked this and yes I am a US Citizen.

Wondering if any hybrid employees received the request for a new I-9, or if it's only for home-based employees?

I just got the email to verify through I-9. I’ve been with the company for over 30yrs. This is ridiculous.

Very concerning since the website they link is to an external lawfirm.

@a6: I remember those days when Verizon was formed and inaugurated.

@OP: the form I-9 is a simple US government form to complete. Dont need to get your feeling hurt.

Glad you posted because its good to know that Verizon is doing something rightful.

Frankly, I am elated that the company is taking this action to help potentially weed out the non-US Citizens.

Lastly, this could be as a result of the completed integration of Frontier Communications employees on to the Verizon payroll.

When GTE merged and Bell became Verizon it was done since it's a different company.
