Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Learning development Grp -Evernorth

A colleague of mine on this team just got a calendar invite for 1230e today titled “org update”
It apparently includes the non clinical side as well. CCs, the instructional designers- the whole learning development group.

Does anyone know anything about this ?

@a6 I was that colleague but wound up staying in my current and got laid off. But glad I did, cause I didn't know the severance would be GOOD from the last round.

@OP if you survived past noon the meeting is to address the aftermath and redistribute role adjustments.

Got that invite too. Sounds more like they’re going to tell us who’s going to be in charge. Like it matters anyways at this point. Had a few coworkers move positions with no raises bc they’re scared of layoffs.

My team usually has a meeting to discuss who is left and how we are going to redistribute projects/tasks/etc after each of these events. It might be a similar meeting. In my team we were told they were 'done' with actions for this round with us at Noon eastern.

Layoff notifications should happen first thing-managers call those impacted directly. Then pulling together the remaining organization to address the elephant in the room should happen so to me that’s what this sounds like .
