Especially those going through a rough time. I hope you all find decent jobs soon. And for the rest of us - don't try to prove yourself. It never matters in the end. All you'll be left with is the regret of working so hard, sacrificing your time, and giving your life to a company that never valued it.

Good luck everyone. OP you are correct. There is nothing you could have done better. Companies don’t care. To all of us, never ever give up family time for a company that will never care about you.
@a6 THIS is so true, I am 3 months FIRED after almost 20 years of working half the night every night and still unemployed since I'm dealing with some other family stuff and haven't been able to focus on new job search as much but I am as happy as I've ever been. I enjoy my kids so much and I'm such a BETTER dad. Wells Fargo is literally a cancer at this point that will eat your soul. I know it's hard to either leave or get fired, but TRUST ME, you will be back to who you always were once you are gone and leadership's vile toxicity is out of your system. DON'T let that place take your soul - life it too short!!!
Been there and 100% agree - I was working weekends right up until I got "the meeting" notice. I lost a lot of family time over the years, and frankly NO company cares about that. Best of luck in your journey, but always remember we work to provide for our families, not the company!
Yes It is better outside. Especially if you have layoff to cushion you until your find next gig. Not so much if ended with the rigged performance exit. The market su-ks and the more layoffs happening only makes it worse.
Thank you so much for your kind post. I was one of the ones let go today from the ECR group in Charlotte CIC. Almost 15 years with the company. Good luck to you all if you were affected. When one door closes, God will open a bigger and better door.
My unemployment and money worries is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the stress I was feeling dealing with drowning in the toxicity of that poorly run company. That place is cancer, rotting from the inside out.
OP, this is the best post I’ve read on this site for quite some time. There really is nothing we can do about what Wells Fargo does. In the end, we just have to protect ourselves and families.
Share the sentiment. Good hunting for you all, may the next gig be an affirming one.
