Every fu--ing round we lose more people and the rest of us are left scrambling how to the work without them. Well I'm done. Fire me if you won't, I'm not picking up any more work. Not a single thing is getting added to my plate this time. In all honesty, now I wish I was laid off. Who knows, maybe there's still time.

@ah just ride it out until maybe or maybe not your time comes. Take advantage of the paycheck and the benefits, In the meantime just start looking for another job. Just buy yourself some more time.
@b6 then you must have a great savings account and cushion for this layoff.
I was a victim. Twenty tireless years for nothing. 5’s every year. Promoted 9 times for outstanding work! This empire and the tiny white guys who run it have no soul. I was fool thinking my hard work meant something. Lesson learned. Yet the Candyman is a CEO???
@a6 nope. Making the numbers is what gets ppl on the list. I know of 4s and 5s who got cut and useless ppl still around. Has very little to do with performance.
@a7 we can be grateful to be able to feed our families and still acknowledge the company is poorly led, takes advantage of the current market, and is short-sighted ruthless in its staffing decisions.
@a7 well I would give up my place to someone if they gave that option!
That’s what I’m saying, just pull the trigger already, I’m tired of holding my breath hoping I’m getting laid off because I’m too chicken sh-t to go find another job after 3 decades.
A talented ex coworker has been looking for a job for 2 years - be grateful you still have one.
@a4 setting boundaries is what is making those people get targeted. You work less or less hours or your quality goes down you are on the next list guaranteed
D&A
Be ready to set your boundaries, work smarter, not harder.
