Are you surprised... The union hasn't got enough members to worry the company about contract violations
@a6 100% correct. Even at its debut way back in Keller TX, Verizon did not lay the fiber but instead contracted that work out and the techs and other Verizon teams handled everything from the handoffs!! The splicing, dining, installing etc.
@dh Then GTFO. No one needs you here, and you won't be missed. Bye!
@c7 sounds like the whole US of A lol
There is no solid leadership in the company at all right now! The company is currently rudderless.
TGH is a holding company registered in the US. If you read the article, you'll see the deal was announced with Eaton Fiber, which does not seem like a real company if you look at their website. It looks like a website that was spun up on short notice with absolutely 0 substance. There's another adjacent company, Tillman Fiber, thats in the group's holdings that seems more "real". And guess what their CEO is Ed Chan, former Verizon leader.
@a8 the article has nothing to do with VZB. This is about VZT and getting to more homes WITHOUT involving the union in out of franchise areas
no one cares, fu-k telecom
Since OneFiber is technically VZB which is non union, I’m sure it IS contracted out.
Fiber build out was outsourced before, then vz techs took care of the last mile plus installs.
Here we go again! Stupid wasteful movements from leadership. Fix what we have first. Stop the bleeding of customers. Then worry about expanding outside of the current footprint. There is a problem inhouse and that problem should be fixed before investing in expanding the footprint. Such bad decision making never stops. Bring the company down is the new motto.
