Are we all going to be honest about our frustrations? And if we do, are there any real consequences? Will it just add you to the RIFF list?

People leader. Frontline management does not see names but, if a small team , distinct phrases or specific information could identify you. I’m not clear if senior leadership or director levels see names. However, The 1year I was really honest I got a meets, s-b exceeds, an average raise and unspectacular bonus.
This survey is "confidential" but not "anonymous".... that reason alone makes me reconsider if i want to complete the survey. However, I'm also concerned about retaliation for not completing it.
The majority of the survey questions are about your immediate manager. A couple of questions are about VPs and above. There are no category of questions for Staff VPs.
I went scorched earth on mine.
I’m a people manager and don’t see my individual associate’s’ scores. I filled it out truthfully and if they want to RIF me for being honest, that’s their loss.
It can’t be for real input, considering company was rated among top places to work, when we didn’t even have a survey last year. Where did they get that info?
Truly saddens me to feel conflicted as to "Do the Right Thing". Difficult to TRUST.
Don’t be naive thinking the leaders can’t track responses back to the person who submitted it. There is no such thing as an electronic anonymous survey, especially when you have a unique code and they tell you not to forward it to someone else.
Right. They’ve e been doing surveys for years and when has anything gotten better. Heck moral was do bad last year they cancelled the associate survey. What does that tell you. This survey is even more useless and generic with all but 1 question directed towards immediate manager. I don’t need changes from my manager, she’s pretty good. It is the people above that need so “truth”.
Your boss mostly likely won’t be canned though. EH loves to protect cr-ppy “people leaders”. Everyone thinks that honest feedback will lead to change. It doesn’t. It leads to you on a riff list.
I'm going to be 100% honest and my boss should be canned after the surveys are reviewed.
I was honest in my survey it helps nothing either way so why not.
That's an idea. I could use some free money and a ticket out of here but probably couldn't get that lucky.
Because they track lack of engagement.
How about just not doing the survey?
Is it worth the risk with this petty leadership bunch?
Will it curb their plans to get rid of all of us?
Will it give you a bigger raise or bonus?
Do you think your answers will inform them of something they don't already know?
Do you think your answers will change ANYTHING?
If you answered no to these questions: take the survey; fake engagement; say nothing; control what you can control.
I gave to them in last year's employee survey. Got Rifed in the summer....lol
True story you are riffed if you show the slightest bit of discomfort. Or if you have normal everyday problems or illness. I used to work for a director that never had been married or ever had kids and had no tolerance if you had any problems related to either that may interfere with work. Then if you had something you had to deal with your life was “ too complicated” for you to have a job and suggested you find another job. Also was a PowerPoint micromanager and fake a-s bi--h. You can’t be honest with anyone you work with anymore especially if they don’t have a life outside of EH.

Feels so dirty
Survey has nothing to do with RIF, at least when it comes to decision making on choices. Also, I would have been fired long long ago if that were the case 😬
You'll be RIFed if you show the signs of slightest discomfort. Don't talk about your mental health. Don't talk about overwhelming work or endless meetings makeup your entire day. Don't talk about overtime you work pretty much everyday.
I can't speak for Elevance, but I know for a fact that Capital One would penalize you for giving bad reviews.
@a6+1jrjxe4p9 - Okay you will be honest, then you will be RIF'd. Start putting out feelers now.
The issue with past surveys is that your responses were a direct reflection on your manager. My manager is awesome and fights for her team. There are things out of her control. While I want to tell the truth, I'm not going to because my manager doesn't deserve the backlash for ELT not hearing what they want. We all know the ELT is going to do what they want regardless of what us peons think.
I don’t remember exactly but I think I had negative comments and truths to speak last year and I got RIF’d earlier in the year… but given how unhappy I had been, it worked out well for me!
Guess our parents didn't know what they were talking about when they told us honesty is the best policy.
I answered honestly about the Hybrid policy when it was asked, and also marked that I didn't think ELT was doing the right thing on the grading scale... I was RIFF'd in November. Just tell them what they want to hear.
I guess I’ll be putting a 10/10 on every question so I don’t get put on the riff list. Not gonna be flagged for being disengaged and leadership has proven that they think they are awesome. If if you were honest about the things that su-k they would someone spin it to thinking they were knocking it out of the park. I think being delusional is a prerequisite for directors and above
Ugh. Just read up on software on Reddit and if you answer neutral or don’t fill out survey you could be flagged as disengaged. And put yourself at risk of it negatively impacting you. It seems like there is no winning here. Again with most managers having only 7 direct reports I don’t know how they can’t figure out who answered if 5 of their employees respond. The questions look pretty lame to me. Always seem to punish your direct manager but the true a--holes at the top. 1 question directed to executive leadership.
I bet this new and improved survey still has the same softball questions that are not about anything we want to comment on anyway. Just more of the same BS.
I don’t understand why the company is bothering with survey in light of massive riffs. I haven’t seen 1 thing get better as a result of these “surveys”.
They do not care one bit what employees think. They need to get rid of the Team Leaders who are overbearing and capable of carrying a caseload, but don’t. They essentially use them to audit cases. Completely stupid to pay them for this. That’s why we have audits. Middle management and directors are not effective. So many managers in Carelon Medical Benefit Management and Case Management. Only a handful have the skills and brain power to effectively manage. The others are controlling fools with nursing degrees and the grammar skills of someone with a 10th grade education. They should be embarrassed.
That survey is done through peakon, in my previous company the peakon surveys would report the identity of the person if certain keywords were used. For example if someone used the word “ki-l” in their feedback it would drop any anonymity straight away. It’s customisable by company so it’s not universal but just be careful of what you write.
I would no longer take the survey - and if I was "forced to do so" I would click disagree whenever possible and no comments - nothing EVER has changed in 15 yrs of taking the survey why would I expect it to do now - BUT if I was already planning to leave and/or retire I would flame it up -
Read the associate listening page on My HR in Pulse. It specifically states that it is Confidential but not anonymous. Meaning that there is data attached to you and they will use that data for trending. So if you are someone who has a job title that many people or no one else has under your boss or in your Org, then you may want to take that into consideration when you take or don’t take the survey.
I'm going to be honest and honesty doesn't have to be rude.
No way, no how will I be honest. Those who do will be at risk. I will opt out if I am “allowed.”
I’m guessing it will add to the riff list. Hence why they need to add multiple surveys throughout the year. I’m never gonna fill out a survey ever again. Let’s be real they really don’t care what we think.
