Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Soft culture

Relocating to India doesn't necessarily result in significant cost savings. In fact, the overall estimate might be higher, and the quality could be lower, leading to increased maintenance requirements. Furthermore, Chevron's culture has deteriorated over the years due to their overly relaxed and friendly approach. Meaningful improvements are unlikely unless this cultural issue is addressed and rectified.

@a6+1jnsqfmrc You are an @sshole. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean they have zero technical skills and are a "DEI hire". You are an immature, scared little man.

Oh and you're clearly the id--t without technical skills, since you can't even figure out how to quote someone on here and understand that every commenter's ID on this topic ends in "fmrc", so you insulted yourself...

Their poor choice of word "accountability"... That hit so hard to workers. If this was truly a leadership issue, why are we slashing the lower psg folks and outsourcing them? Why not the leaders who weren't decisive and direct??! why do we still see their names in those boxes?!

Oh yes, the culture has really deteriorated, especially since the “transition” process started. The trust has gone and I’m not sure that will ever return. The never ending corporate messaging now looks sillier than before and clearly conflicts with management actions.
