@a5 Agree with your take completely. The ex Goldman people now run the show completely. They’re all safe and anyone else they directly hire. Not just top management but most key positions. Anyone with maybe some exceptions who was legacy Mellon or BNY has a target on their back. As pointed out, this was once a great place to work. Not now! Get out if you can. I don’t know for sure what is eventually going to happen to the company but I do know the work environment at the moment is beyond toxic.

@a5 so true. Sadly. Mellon Bank was a great place to work. Ethics, morality and integrity meant something. For years the mantra was to be the “Employer of Choice.” Two, iconic American banking institutions brought down by a sleaze bag from across the pond. He was tainted when he arrived and has brought his toxic brand of greed he-l bent on pilfering off the backs of the great work of others. Shameful.

It’s too late.
BNY is dying. Mellon is already deceased. These GS hyenas are here to feast on the fallen cape buffalo that is BNY.
Since April of 2023, every day here is worse than the last. This Bank is getting merged and GS are in for a free buffet off our backs and fired bodies. This company really hasn’t changed or gained big new business. It is expense cutting toward an imminent merger / sale that drives this pumped up stock. When the big execs start selling BNY stock (and its publicly recorded) that’s when you know the time is up.
Sorry. None of the GS are leaving and there is no going back. Just more non GS firings and squeezings. BNY will be in name only soon.
