Has anyone else seen their pipeline of work come to an end before RIFs? My team doesn't have any new projects planned to start after Q2. I assume this means we are being set up for layoffs. Any thoughts or similar experience?

Yeah, sorry hun that is pretty telltale. Begin prepping resume and prepare yourself for the cycle possibly next week.
@a5 It was nice that your manager was honest and gave you a heads up that you were part of the layoff. I just got the 15 minute call on my calendar as I started my shift. It all worked out though I got a better job outside of the company that I am happy at. Best of luck to you all I have been there. It will be ok. ❤️
Can go both ways, where you have a visible lack of work or are completely inundated and drowning in requests. Depends on the role and structure.
Best advice I can give to anyone is be actively looking for the next thing (outside of UHG) and don't just quit in frustration, make them fire you and get any severance you are entitled to. If you are placed on a CAP, count your days as numbered, because being on corrective status allows them to term you without severance. Still make them fire you so that you can collect unemployment.
@OP That’s exactly what happened in my department. About a month and a half before I was let go, we had no new projects coming in. My manager told me I was part of a layoff and encouraged me to network internally. I tried but couldn’t secure anything within those two (redeployment) weeks. After leaving, I interviewed for a role multiple times. The process was quite lengthy, and in the end, I received a generic rejection email with no explanation. None. I expected more, having spent nearly five years there.
It might be a good time to start networking both internally and externally, just to keep your options open. Wishing you all the best.
Read the tea leaves and be prepared to exit! My team lost people every quarter for the past year.
