Is it wrong to secretly hope that my position is eliminated? The toxicity at this company is appalling, and the lack of communication and severe gatekeeping is making it impossible to accomplish anything.
Asking for a friend, of course.

If it's wrong I don't want to be right.
I've kinda been dreading a possible layoff. I had a dream the other night where I got laid off, and it was actually peaceful -- like a release of your soul to be free. Not sure if that's how I'll truly think of it in the real world, since bills have to be paid, but it was nice to know at least in my dream, it was a breath of fresh air.
Get applying. Finding new work is so damn hard. Major companies are doing massive layoffs. Record low new jobs in January. This way you have an offer and best case you get severed and a new job for dual income.
I am right there with the person who created this post. I cannot wait to leave Optum. They are the worst. Healthcare companies should be ethical to the patients, providers, clients, and staff. There are several great examples out there for them to learn from. Instead, they continue to push everything offshore and to AI. I am just waiting for them to pull my number, which should not be long.
@a5@a5 I personally don’t have the luxury of paying bills if I do. I’m just at a point where my mental health might be better.
Nothing is wrong with that. I’m the breadwinner of my family so I don’t have that luxury. But if I didn’t have a family to support I may feel the same way.
All corp jobs are toxic just my take from working 45 years lol
