Hey all, Are having these certifcates helping you with your job. Or advancing to elsewhere in the company? Can't seem to advance where having them and using the concept is helping..

Careers here are now a “lattice” according to cheif HR. The promotional opportunities are mostly in india.
Green belt here (from past company, where training was same as black belts).
Been at Anthem for 15 years and never really used, despite being in an analytics role. Other poster is correct that, unless you manager is into it, or, you really want to be an evangelist, you won’t see it used much here.
Six Sigma, process improvement, Lean, etc. are all good things to have. Always think about your future...not necessarily what you are doing now. There are places to get that training for free - even internally. Take advantage of any free learning or training that you can as it will only benefit you and your career.

Thank you for your response. I get the deer in headlights' look. I have them all and keep taking the updated quizzes required in order to keep the certificates valid. Coming out of my pocket , company won't comp me for it, it adds up

Does not help one bit, your manager, director, and VP need to understand them and/or have them - they rarely do - not worth your time unless you are getting it with the intention of using it somewhere else
