The latest rumor was sometime in January, and that they could be massive. Has anyone heard any updates?

Given that the term date associated with an accepted VRP is March 14 (a Saturday), and that in the past, layoffs stayed on active payroll for 30ish days before their "official" term date and the start of their severance period, I'm expecting Feb 12 to be our first big layoff day. But who knows.
@b6 your director is an id--t and part of the overall problem with Cigna
No amount of layoffs will counteract the stupid decisions at the top. They need to fire the incompetence that reeks at the top. Get some leaders that actually understand how business is run. Don't hire your buddies or someone's relative or a failed leader from another struggling business.
@fm no wonder my manager is avoiding me.
@OP We’ve already been told to identify people we can do without and to start hiring more Rajeevs in India
@b6 this is incorrect.
Our director said they will not be offering voluntary retirement to anyone or any department
I heard reorgs are code for layoffs, but is there a chance I can be reorged far away from a toxic dept I am in?
@a5 If they didnt announce it on the TH, then yes...little by little...imho its going to be a bloodbath. Its the only way for us to show we are cutting costs in a way that will jump start stock prices. Look at united, their stock skyrocketed once the full scope of their cuts became public in may
There has been some conflicting information, so I do NOT have full confirmation.
1) There will be an initial round of layoffs this week. Affected people have already been notified 2) For the 2nd round, Emails will be sent out next for the voluntary retirement. 3) Based on the response, they will have layoff numbers for late January and mid-February.
Prolly won’t be a one time thing. That would set off too many alarms. Little by little, in waves.
This company likes doing things in lil waves.
