Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Dan's right

He correctly identified many of our weaknesses. That's half the battle--fixing all that won't be so easy.
And he did show that he has some common sense in getting rid of that ridiculous "hub or no promotion" policy. I'd say that bodes well for WFH going forward (perhaps that's wishful thinking).

OP here.
OK fine with all the trolls, but at least Dan has the sack to say the truth out loud.
Hans was just a DEI puppet. We were f***ed from the day he showed up.
I won't pretend to know the correct answer to righting the ship, but at the very least identifying the BS out loud is a good start. Hans was certainly not "the answer", then or now.
Our website su-ks, we are process-wh--es, we wouldn't walk outdoors in July without a brelly and mack...all true.
I won't be around long enough to reap the benefits of change, if there are any. I wish the best of fortune for all remaining.

If things go right = employees are amazing
If things go wrong = leadership stinks

Have I got this right?

Dan made a bunch of obvious statements.
He’s going to get even richer off the backs of Verizon employees while accomplishing nothing.

@a5 seemed to solve some problems right off the bat

A dachshund could identify the internal problems at VZ.
Dan doesn't seem to be a viable problem solver.

The presentation was a great promotion of instant coffee.

Did we needed a new CEO and offload 13k folks to learn our weaknesses? NO - leadership and the board were too arrogant and useless -

I agree on this. He does point out all the bad stuff but certainly not clear on our actual path to do better. Show us exactly how we are doing that and make leadership accountable.
