If you don’t have any other plans on education or certification, any additional certification, even OCI, is better than nothing.
Could be helpful if you are alone in a stall and realize there's no T.P.
Waste of time, nobody use it, only O employees. Take time to learn AWS, Kubernetes and Azure as they are needed.
I have many OCI Professional certifications since Oracle gives employees 10 for free, but nobody here actually wanted them. They all want AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, etc certifications. And the ones that employers did want was Oracle Database or maybe Java certifications, which was the only one I did not have.
I had a brief look at the GenAI certification, and in my opinion the "Professional" GenAI one is one of the easy ones based on the amount of hours required. If you want hard, try e.g. OCI Networking Professional, that was one of the hardest ones imo.
Btw, I think the training material for these often su-k. I gave up the official training videos from OCI after the OCI Foundation one almost bored me to death some years back. Now I only do the text-based study guide, practice test, practice exam, labs, etc.
However, maybe it will be worth it for you to learn something about LLM, RAG, vector databases, etc. I believe the cert is Oracle DB too, so you could claim that you know "modern ways of using it"

@a5 Look in your cereal box and you'll probably find an Oracle foundation certificate.
Probably 0 benefit if it's the foundation certificate. However, if you have free time in your employed day you might as well hoover up all available certifications.
