Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

posts get taken down?

Why do I see posts on this site and then a few days later only be taken down and disappear?? I saw a post earlier about someone complaining taking kickbacks .. came here to see again and it’s gone. Is dell monitoring and deleting posts ?

What’s interesting is you can go to the top of the main page or any post and click on the icon next to the bell icon in the top right (looks like a less than sign) and you can share these posts to FB, Reddit, X, Text, linked in and it tells you how many number of times it’s been shared . I only see numbers shared from the main page.

@a5 idk about all of this but I can say that Nord absolutely is not blocked lol. I'm pretty sure i was temporarily "banned" last week as when i tried to post it said "you have been detected as suspicious. please try again in a few days." So since I already use Nord i powered that up and bo-m. I could post.

Since there’s no login required to post it makes sense that some kind of regulation is in place. Hence the rules and moderators, I guess. No one wants a bitter coworker posting slander. I know I wouldn’t. And honestly, there aren’t even that many rules here compared to other forums I frequent.

As for Dell watching - I’m sure they are, but rest assured, they aren’t powerful enough to control the entire internet. If you avoid personal attacks and focus on criticizing actions instead of people, your posts usually stay up on any social media including this one.

The page owner keeps us posting anonymous, but also quietly deleting important messages without notice

The Dell social media team closely monitors websites with specific keywords and can pressure site admins to remove anything they don’t like. Their presence is especially strong on X, Facebook, and other technical forums, where they focus on protecting the company’s image. They also work directly with HR. If they find a negative post from an employee and can identify the person, they report it immediately to HR—and it does happen.

Lots of posts in here have been taken down due to the code of conduct and possibly Dell’s public image. People come here to find information they can’t get inside the company about layoffs and other gossip-related subjects.

Dell should address the specific concerns of its employees about the company’s future, as well as other questions that have never been answered. It's just that simple. Instead we got a deaf ear, and employees are not happy.

On deletions, someone posted this a couple of days ago, source below:

I've been on this site since 2015 (first with Verizon and now with GM) so hear me out:

| mods/admins exist, they are silent tho

| they delete messages, sometimes in bulk (eg all threads or all messages you ever posted by you or someone else may be nuked)

| they block ip addresses, some vpns will not work as they are already blocked

| some words are blocked and trigger reviews, try to enter xes in reverse and they'll review you

| here are things that will trigger a review, purge or block: swearing, use of names, politics, attacking other people

| got blocked once, never heard back from them and had to switch ip

| if someone is crossing the line you can report it on the contact page

| dont post in weird threads, they may bulk block you (if you do, use vpn)

| they really cannot stop you posting, use a vpn and you are ok - if you are using a vpn, dont use bing ones like nordVPN as they have them blocked - pick a smaller providedr

| try to avoid any discussion about race or identity groups, they dont f around with that - that's like an instant ban and all your older messages get deleted

i am sure there is more stuff that i am forgetting but this is it in the nutshell...

@a2 They can ask but if I had to guess? They pay the site owner to remove posts because in all honesty, if I owned/ran this site? I'd make a fortune charging companies to remove posts they dont like lol.

Pay me 10k to take it down or go get a warrant.

I am positive Dell can ask for anything to be removed without reason
