Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

RTO - we're not all created equal

I have heard from multiple people that some groups are not having to go into the office four days a week in a month. TSG and some folks in TS are exempt. While this is great for them, what the actual F. This place just wants us gone. I won't say anything at work as I honestly think "good for them" but I'm pi---d for myself.

as of today, still, there are no exceptions for TSG.

There should be.

Until the dashboard says something different, TSG is going to be 4 days in office like everyone else despite night work, weekend work, and being on call 24 x 7.

it is pathetic and expected to see directors moving to 3-day accommodations (or less) while us chattle are being pushed to 4 days. BNY is a magnet for spineless clueless toxicity at the leadership level. RV has attracted much of his own kind

@ax There exists a privileged class of BAH for some Directors with less than 10 years with the company who have been promoted year after year, given incredible incentive pay for no known reason. The bar must be pretty low to EXCEL every year.

What is happening with people on Agile Flex? Is that going or staying?

I’m in TSG and I still have no idea whether or not I’m going in 4 days a week, my director told us if it says we do on mysource then we have to.. I’m guessing some of us are not exempt.

While the rabble fights with each other over the constant tightening of sc--ws, there still exists a privileged class of WFH in the executive ranks, unapologetically.

@a5

Lots of folks raise eyebrows when the TSG folks pack their bags and leave early. Even they call them coffee-badgers. But these folks come in very early, despite India being there to perform SOD operations. And by Noon, they have already plugged in more than time at work than a "normal" person does

Add to that, they have to work weekends to complete upgrades, refreshes and even late evening along with India performing deployment and monitoring overnight batch

Folks are really unkind. RTO on weekends? RTO during India hours?

I don't buy it. They are forcing this cr-p on everyone.

Some TSG teams have to work evenings and weekends to support activities that can't take place during a normal shift, so it doesn't make sense for some of these associates to go in 4 teams a week. In my opinion I'd rather go in 4 days a week then have their job.

Don’t you go thinking these groups have the dream life. They are not exempt from layoffs and they will likely be the next chickens to get feather plucked.
Here, we are all equally worthless tools to this sociopathic management.
