Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Let. Us. Go.

We have been here for years, jumped through all the hoops, played the office politics, survived all previous RIFs. We are accepting the early retirement program for different reasons but few of us are actually “retiring”. It’s a bit scary but exciting to have a financial cushion to go find a new job in this strange market. Please just let us go! Don’t make us stay until Quarter 1 2026, November, or even October. We are DONE. I hope my choice means one less person gets RIFed. PLEASE cut us loose sooner rather than later so we can move on. #ineedanenddate

I wasn't offered the ERP, since our area is deemed critical but with everything going on and not getting the needed support im resigning. Workload is crazy, no backup and often im asked questions on my day off or complete a task on my pto. I'm done!

When I did the ERP, one was able to pick the exit date; so everyone picked the earliest; Jan. 1, 2024 (ERP was offered November 2023). However, so many accepted in our department that the team leaders asked and were approved by corporate to delay until 4/1/24. Some until July 2024. You can imagine how LIVID those who accepted were when told, "Sorry, we decided you have to stay an extra 3-6 months." And don't slack off while you're waiting because they can and will look for excuses to fire you.

@OP most leaders are asking for the latest date because they don't know if they can backfill and they have to think about the remaining team.

I e already received my exit date. And I can say that they’re pushing us to the earlier option (Sept. instead of Nov.), at least in my department.

People had to say yes first, and then the upper management needs to review and they will let people know early September. There were a few dates, starting late September.

Per HR our leader will give us our exit date in September. ERP info we reviewed when deciding said exit dates are September thru Quarter 1 2026. Agree with OP, it is so hard to come to work every day knowing I have no future here.
