Didn’t they do that 40% non-technical cut in Imagine IT? Who was left? Who are the 2nd layer IT function leaders now? I got cut in ImagineIT 4.5 years ago, a 10 month severance package and a new job offer before my final day on Chevron’s payroll. It was great. Having worked for a few other companies since then, however, I can say that Chevron’s dysfunctions are nothing compared to those of many other companies. This wasn’t apparent when I worked there, but has become crystal clear in retrospect.

I am Les' consultant. We kept the non technical people and the technical ones go to India.

The technical (hands on) ones got good news so far. Makes sense as the new org focuses on streamlining processes (simplification) and cutting the middle management.

Some weird selections too... We retained some duds while good folks were cut.... Typical Chevron.
