Do layoffs work like trash days? When there is a holiday, trash pick-up comes a day later than the regular scheduled day. Monday was a holiday this week. Does that mean layoffs will be Friday, May 29 instead of Thursday, May 28?

Trash day happened, but the trash collector bypassed my house leaving many cans overfilling with cr-- blocking my driveway. When is the next trash day? I saw June 25 mentioned in a earlier post. I can't wait that long, my neighbors are starting to complain.

Trash pickup still came. I know of 2 ppl who were laid off this morning.
My team was hit with layoffs today, about 10% of the team gone.
@a1 Wow your garbage person has to work holidays? But yeah, layoffs to usually move unless there are last minute changes.
Companies don't generally layoff on Mondays or Fridays. We did have a Friday layoff in the past year, only because the Thursday layoff was so large. I don't think we will have any tomorrow.
Trash pickup never skips a day.
