A friend told me that this is a good place to ask insiders about possible layoffs.
I received an offer from Qualcomm (in India) and I do not know if I should accept it. Some of my friends at Oracle were laid off and I do not want to suffer the same way.

@xr Yeah I head some dude had a breakdown and quit. That department has always been on the talk board. Nothing new.
Depends on team. I heard PMIC is very toxic under soupy meat and pea pie. Heavy handed management.
Join Qualcomm only if you have no other option.
I am an old timer at Qualcomm and these are the worst days I have seen.
It is a toxic place to work, but it is a job that pays.
Qualcomm has become a cesspool globally. Good days are long gone. And QIPL has to be one of the worst ranked sites within Qualcomm. If you must, join with an exit plan where you stay until certain number of stocks get vested. Even there, the future of the stock seems dubious. And if you do join, never keep looking. Things go belly up totally unexpectedly for people here. Seen countless examples.
Finally, I would seriously think of other options, if I had any.

Hi, ‘Nitesh’, very convincing - except people can’t post from India (and several other countries) here due to IP restrictions. No one would go through the trouble of using a VPN just to be able to post, then leave out any mention of posting issues. Better luck trolling next time.
India? You are good. Eventually, they will layoff every engineers in the US and move everything to India. Expect to work 24/7 though. If you do, you will be good.

I would choose carefully. Once Jacobs kicks the bucket, the whole lot will be up for sale. That's why the new stadium was named Snapdragon not Qualcomm as the chip brand will carryover to the new owners.
Regardless of layoffs. You will be slaving your life away.
