People who’ve given Oracle ten plus years are being laid off through email, no call, no conversation, nothing. That would require facing the people affected, and clearly that’s not something they’re willing to do. It’s a cowardly way to handle something like this, but I'm not surprised.

30 years !?! You hid well
If you let work depress you, particularly in technology, you are in the wrong industry.
I survived - call with my Manager and he said they were specifically told not to contact anyone that was let go - they could only speak with them if the person contacts them. Also said that when this came out yesterday, the email she got said "2 people from your team are impacted." They could only find out who it was by logging onto some portal. The whole thing is brutal - morale is gone, I've never been so depressed in my life.
25+ years. Laid off via email. No call even from manager or a director because I think they were laid off as well. A courtesy would have been a Zoom with affected personnel. Didn't happen, either.
@a4 indeed, that's one aspect of the Oracle Doormat Principle. Do an internet search on it and read the AI overview. You will see what I mean.
Not disrespectful. Cruel.
I am the oldest and the only person to get laid off from my team, 30 years with the company. I am thinking some age discrimination here possibly. Spotless reviews my entire career.
We join Oracle to get humiliated
They don't care. They just want us out. How doesn't matter.
