It boggles the mind that anyone would expect me to do anything other than twiddle my thumbs until my last day in the office. What are they going to do? Lay me off? LOL.

It would be INCREDIBLY difficult to term you if you signed severance paperwork prior. That would need to run through legal and a ton of hoops. So do the bare minimum and know you’re almost done

I made myself available to answer questions, I just didn’t share which questions to ask. Given my AD is d-mber than dogshit, they didn’t get much.
I’m still working as usual. Handing off my work after the first of the year, but helping with the transition, Doing this because I respect my coworkers and boss. It’s wasn’t their fault and their loads just got a lot heavier. Plus I loved my customers, they became friends. I’m ending my career at Verizon on a positive note. You should too.
@af until your severance date, you are still an employee. Therefore, you can be fired for cause. Just don't give them a reason.

Technically, they can fire you..then you get no severance, no unemployment benefits depending on which state you are in.....Stick to lay off..
