Yes, entire teams around me have been cut. My SD, AD and VP survived.
My VP scheduled a 1:1 this morning and notified my team that was spared later got notified of my release later.
I didn’t know until the call was scheduled. I don’t think anyone but my VP knew so I was being given signals I was safe, guess it was a last min decision according to my boss and the SD was fighting to help me just minutes between when he found out and I got cut.
I have no idea what to do. I wasn’t expecting this. I’m hopeful at the moment just because I feel like my boss knew I was a performer and wanted them to keep me and I think it was a tough decision, but not sure. The job market I’m sure could break my optimism.
