Im retired SF! I went to play golf with a buddy today with an 11 am Tee time. So get in the cart and glance to my left where I see a TM on his laptop while drinking a bloody Mary complaining how weak the drink is. I told my golf partner. He walked over to him and asked him if he worked for SF. My partner came back to me and confirmed he worked for SF. My partner asked how does he get away with it. I replied: Just like government since covid this is the WFH we have. My buddy shook his head and said: UNBELIEVABLE!

WFH being dissolved soon time to get back to work instead of watching TV all day
@es Before you existed, there were non customer facing positions and remote work. We managed just fine and will continue to do so.
Stop hating and get a hobby.
@a4 5 times divorcee telling someone needs help. Right?
Dr-g test them all!
I have a non facing customer job and your screen is logged every 3 minutes without movement. Too much idle time leads to termination. working from home actually has them watching us even harder. You have to explain every second you’re not working.
@et huh?
He was also bragging how his pension will make him more than 80% of those who work. He said is there ever try to freeze it he has a thousand people ready to sue. Sure the company might win but legal cost will bankrupt them.
@ej customer facing job. A laptop and phone is customer facing? Hurry up AI! Replace these entitled brats.
If you say i an slacking off wfh and my workload is increasing, i need you to complete tasks assigned to me. Provide me your email as you feel generous enough to work on retirement.
There needs to be accountability when you make false accusations online hiding behind an anonymous profile.
None of this wasting time slacking off you're alledging while WFH is possible at all for any Claims employee, that's is for sure. They won't get away with it for long or at all.
1) as an experienced claim handler, I can get more done WFH than in the office because the office is full of distractions
2) the bossware on workstations will have you quickly found out if you even try to watch Netflix or other d-mb sh-t you try to say people are doing
The only slackers are the ones in non-customer facing jobs that are on Teams all day, probably not getting much done or ever doing much of any "work" that really matters. They should be in the office to do their meetings full of nothing in office so it at least has the appearance of work.
@e9 At Work... at home.... if people are not working that is the leaders fault.... give them the right work load and hold them accountable. Plenty of people come to offices , do nothing, and go home... they made a whole movie about it, old dude just wanted his red stapler.
WFH coming to a end to much slacking off watching TV
Plot twist, the guy has a $10 million book netting him $750,000 a year and could care less about two old guys huffing and puffing...
Partner for the course.....drunks and deniers.
Alex, I'll take things that never happened for $1000.
Bogus BS post.....
Show me the person on their deathbed who regretted not spending more time at the office....I'll wait
Insurance man who drinks and drives. Nice!
@a3 If you went into any Insurance office in the country when you were coming up there would be a whisk-y bottle in the corner of every office lol.... If he was 5 drinks in sure, thats bad but getting all hot and bothered about a bloody mary is silly.
Work/Life balance is a myth anyways, it died as soon as cell phones and wifi happened. Everyone is both at work and at home all the time, where ever they are. Some people can not handle WFH, but alot can.
Go play your golf and stop worrying about what the people that are still working are doing. You are turning into the "I dont understand so ill call everyone lazy" old guy... dont be that guy, how bout go sit down with him and tell him what made you successful and able to have a nice golf retirement instead?... be that guy
@OP you do not seem mentally all there, get help.
@a2 Did you miss the part about drinking on the job? The work may be getting done, but how is the quality? What kind of judgement is he using that is now impared? How about constant distractions at home with pets, children, deliveries, etc.
Plus, what about that whole work/life balance? When you work where you play, you never really get a separation between the two. All you WFH people never get to leave it at the office because you're always at your office. It's crazy.
If he is getting his stuff done and why would anyone care where and how? For all you know he is the #1 agent in that territory .
