Just Got My Notice

Although I shouldn't be surprised, I was. I received the out of cycle 1x1 and was notified yesterday that my role was being eliminated and that my last day was this week.
I'm not here to complain, point fingers, or play victim. But want people to understand that there is never a better time to prepare for your future career than now.

@bp thank you for the encouragement. I feel oddly at peace with all of this and I'm grateful for a chance at a new chapter.

Best of luck! I was let go in the early August wave, and I just got my first offer this week, which I consider very lucky. It’s remote often and sometimes hybrid, and a little over what my OTE was at Dell. Network, network, network… ring all the bells you have on your string. My cold apps got me nowhere, it was all about who I knew, and I was unabashed in hitting them up and often. Ultimately the person that helped me was overjoyed they could do something positive for someone, so don’t be shy asking for help.

This will happen weekly. 2% reduction across all teams.
DTS had planned for additional headcount in Q3/Q4 , that has paused for now.

When your stock drops -10% on "good" numbers you know they are going continue reducing costs
