Is it just me? Driving into the office to sit there and stare at the screen is really doin the most to my mentals. I guess I’ll see how long I can stand getting paid to do nothing. This has been going on for almost a year now. Is this a tactic to get rid of me?! 😂

@a4 The specialization of jobs here is ridiculous, and causes so much inefficiency.
@b7 The managers are probably threatened you’re trying to take something from them or their favorites. Everyone is out for themselves here, unfortunately. It’s toxic.
@b6 Not my fault. I’ve asked for more work and volunteered my skill set for projects. It doesn’t feel good to be useless. 🤷🏻♂️
You have nothing to do? That’s odd knowing some of us are going 3 people’s job because our co-workers were let go. Yet here you are doing absolutely nothing.
I see managers that contribute very little value and are in meetings all the time so I don’t feel bad when I’m not constantly working either.
When I (mistakenly) left a fintech to work at USB I found myself completely bored. I must have done the work of 10 people at that fintech because at the bank there were people whose sole job was to dream up personas for use cases. Entire.Teams. This would have been a single meeting at the fintech. In other words I was bored out of my mind and when I finally got notice of the RIF I was already interviewing elsewhere and I was rewarded with a hefty severance and full bonus and PTO payout.
@OP Been there, as have many others. Take this time to upskill, learn something new. Then when it comes time you’ll have that in your pocket for a new job/role. This place is messed up. It has nothing to do with you personally.
What were you doing when you were WFH? Never mind, I believe we know.
