Pretty neat cnbc got the CEO email before employees. One positive I guess is that 15% layoffs are on hold, for now, but seems like we have a solid number in mind now.

@a3 yes layoff was mentioned put on hold after criss was fired per https://www.cnbc.com/2026/04/29/paypal-restructures-venmo-standalone-unit.html

Though cnbc seems to have misunderstood the email, or were told more than the employees, as it seems "consumer financial services" is alongside venmo in the new pillar. Might mean our credit/loan/pay in 4 stuff lumped in with venmo to juice it's sellability?
