My boss said there is chatter that Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint will be removed from everyone's computer. Google will be the new default.

There are still government agencies that do not allow cloud based document storage. So unless there’s been some change, there’s organizations that cannot move from Office to G Suite.
Employees who are dealing with Business Clients need to provide documents (contracts, proposals, etc.) back to clients using MS. This is stupid.
Good luck. GSuite is the worst. I’m so glad I cashed out of wireless when the opportunity came along.
Anything to make your job harder just like disabling your USB Ports. What will they think of next.
Yes. It's going away.
Foolish as not a good move and really not a professionally app but 2nd tier kind of like going over to Gmail! Then again someone thought blue jeans was a good idea?
Yup, Office is going away for real this time. Same with Webex. JR confirmed it in his GN&T all hands last week.
G Suite blows. Slides is barely tolerable while Sheets is bloody awful. Way to go VZ. Penny wise and dollar d-mb.
I’m a retail sales consultant, does this affect me?
Wow, we got moved to it about 5yrs ago - I had no idea we were second class citizens!!!
@a3 You get what you pay for.
For people who heavily use excel and one note this is going to be painful. But that’s the new Verizon way now isn’t it?
@a6 I never had office on my laptop. Definitely a learning curve but I've never missed microsoft office
@a5 that was just outlook
Wasn't that the policy in 2019?
Doesn’t anyone watch the Dan or Joe Russo webcasts. It’s been stated multiple times.
It’s not just chatter. After October unless there is a special need all users will move to Google Suite. Large cost savings with the move.
Who is using it anyways ? I never used it..
